Fred & Rosie

Basset friends from Arizona!

Fred & Rosie are a bonded pair that currently reside in Tucson, AZ.  They were rescued by SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) which is an all-breed rescue.  You can visit their website at www.safeanimals.com

Fred & Rosie are being fostered by Jane.  Jane says that they think everyone is here to see them and they think they are lap dogs. Both Fred & Rosie are very affectionate and would be happy to have all the attention.  Hmmm sounds like typical Bassets to me!!

Their adoption fee is $225 for the pair.  They are altered (spayed/neutered), current on vaccinations and micro-chipped.  The vet has given them a clean bill of health and thinks they are about 2 years old. To adopt Fred & Rosie please contact Jane at jmaciulla@hotmail.com or 520-403-0810

Jane will consider adopting Fred & Rosie out separately.  If you are interested please email her.  These guys need a new home!

More info from Jane on Fred: Fred (is in Petpoint as Raul but my son (6 years old) calls him Big-Head-Fred so that what he actually goes by):  Fred has a great personality, he's super sweet and has that poor-me basset look down.  He is an escape artist and will try to sneak between anyone's feet to escape and can run quite fast I've found.  They come to the office with me daily and are allowed to sleep on the couch, but not allowed to at my house.  He gets along well with my 3 big dogs and is fine with cats.  He was treated for Valley Fever, but his titer is between 1-4 so he's off the meds per the vet.  He will have a blood test to check him again in the next couple of weeks.  Fred has the typical Basset "Easty-Westy" front legs (front feet meet at the ankle and go straight out to the side).   We were told as long as his weight is kept down he should be okay.  The legs don't seem to bother him, and again he can haul a@@.  I know because I'm the one chasing him.  Other than that, he seems fine.

More info from Jane on Rosie: Rosie is a super-sweet girl.  She is so nice and kind of blends into the background.  She also gets along with my dogs and cats.  The only thing I need to mention about her is every once in a while, if one of my dogs comes around her food dish, she gets a little nasty.  She does not attack or anything but definitely lets them know to back off.
