Vinnie
Hi I'm "Vinnie".
I'm an "Owner Surrender". And I'm proud of THAT & of them, They did everything
Right. Now, I'm in a foster-situation that meets Most of my needs. I have
caring Humans and my "Uncle Taz", a K9 mentor and Friend. (I do miss having a
Human child "in my life") I've been assured that I deserve a unique "Life Home,"
but must be Honest to acquire it.
My weaknesses:
I am prone to seizures. I need a Pill/day/EVERY
DAY, in an attempt to prevent them. During a Seizure Swarm, I'll need Valium
{which is cheap} and extra attention. My Seizures seem to come during Sleep,
rather than Excitement, or Over-Activity. Hey, I'm ME!
My strengths:
I'm crate trained, house-broken, & happy "on the
floor". I expect to sleep overnight in my crate. I'm almost 7 years old,
confident, and not over-weight. I happily climb stairs or into the car. Yet, I
have no desire to climb onto furniture. I'm well equipped, My first family send
my Stuff into Rescue with Me.
My Foibles:
My Seizure Swarms. Even if you Never miss
giving Me my daily Phenobarbital pill, I may go into a Seizure Swarm. The 1st
Seizure will the scariest, and longest.
Every part of Me will be moving, and moving Violently. I'll be drooling,
possibly peeing. My jaws with be snapping Aimlessly. My Head will be swinging
wildly. I'm a COMPLETE stumble Bum. None of those Seizure movements are
"Targeted". None are "aggressive". I can damage myself, if you won't keep
a "Seizured Me" from ramming into walls or hard surfaces. I'll need a confident
adult or 2 with "fast hands" or rookie folks with the sense to QUICKLY put on
gloves, THEN shield ME from my disorder. You don't need to hold Me, just place
soft stuff around me.
My Stuff:
I come with my own Crate & bedding. The Crate is
Big and Roomy. My Foster-humans call it "Super 8". It is only slightly smaller
than Uncle Taz's "Motel 6", & He is a tall 90# Boxer! "Super Eight" won't fit in
a Coupe, or most Sedans. I have some toys, 2 collars, a spiffy retractable
leash, a kibble bin, everyday & picnic Bowls, very complete Vet Records and
current vaccinations {as of May 08}. I'll arrive with a supply of my everyday
pill & of my "swarm pills". Dip either in PB & I'll delight in that Pill!
My wants:
I hope there will be another confident pooch in
my Life Home {my Boston mentor, at my Surrender home, has crossed the Rainbow
Bridge}. For now, I have "Uncle Taz"... A child would be nice, too. Shade, in
the yard, please, {I like cool weather, it makes me frisky}.
But, First and Foremost, I deserve an Interesting Life.
